Welcome to the NIH-AARP Diet & Health Study Tracking and Review System (STaRS)
This system is designed to support the policies and procedures associated with
NIH-AARP Diet & Health Study
publications and presentations. The system provides support
for investigators in applying for approval, as well as staff supporting review and
approval by the NIH-AARP Steering Committee.
Your role as principal investigator,
co-author, reviewer, etc. determines what functions are available to you. If you
have questions about your role or if you have suggestions for making the site more

Information for Researchers:
We are currently accepting proposals for new projects. Before submitting your proposal, please first review the
NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study Publication Policy. Investigators
will be charged a fee to cover programming
needed for data preparation, delivery, and any additional data requests. Please refer to Section 4, Data Access and Quality
Control Assurance for more information.
The deadline for submission of new proposals is the first Wednesday of the month in which the Steering Committee meeting is
held.
Proposals for new projects are reviewed by the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Steering Committee on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month.
Proposals are reviewed in
January, March, May, July, September and
November of the year.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be contacted with the next steps for beginning
analyses. Please include this
Acknowledgement statement in the resulting manuscript.
